Sub: Corrigendum to Catering Policy .2010 dated
21.7.2010- Para 16.3 and Para 21 — reg.

The following corrections may be incorporated in the Catering Policy
2010, dated 21.7.2010.

Para 16.3 (existing):

Allotments after expiry of this extended period will be made by calling for
fresh tenders/ applications as the case may be, and the process will be
started well in time so that fresh allotments are finalized timely and further
extension of existing contracts is not necessitated.

Para 16.3 (to be read as under):

In case of contracts of some units which are not renewed by the Zonal
Railways due to non-performance etc the process should be initiated by the
zonal railways for fresh allotment well in time to avoid further extension of
existing contracts.

Para 21 (existing):

Transfer of license to the spouse/legal heir would be allowed only in the event
of death of the original licensee. The license can be transferred in the name
of spouse/legal heir for the unexpired period of the agreement only, with
personal approval of the Chief Commercial Manager/ Divisional Railway
Manager/MD, IRCTC as the case may be. Nomination of the legal heir should
be obtained from the license holder at the time of entering into contract. The
nomination should be only from amongst the family members. Renewal of
license on transfer to the legal heir may be permitted only in the case of
licensees belonging to reserved minor catering units as per existing
instructions.

Para 21 (to be read as under):

After completion of the unexpired period renewal can be considered to the
legal heir for both general and reserved category minor static units licensees
subject to satisfactory performance, payment of all dues and withdrawal of
court case, if any.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Railway Board.
