Sub: Checking of ID Cards and travelling authority of OBHS, Catering, AC attendant, etc. Ref: (i) 2015/TG-V/12/3 dated 08.06.2017 (CC No. 39/2017), i) 2018/TG-V/12/2 dated 15.06.2018 (CC No. 31/2018), (iii)2018/Transf. Cell/Traffic/Policy dated 08.06.2018, (iv) 2024/TG-V/12/ dated 29/01/2024. Please refer to the above mentioned references regarding “Train Captain as overall in charge” wherein it was inter-alia advised that Train Superintendent (TS) shall be the overall in charge of the TTEs, coach attendants, amenities staff like electric, C&W, catering manager and catering staff on duty by the same train and will supervise their work. 2, Recently, in its enquiry report, a Committee on Fire incident in Train no 12280 between Okhla — Tugalakabad stations has recommended that “T'TE staff must ensure proper travelling authority of OBHS and Pantry car staff as per their identity card.” 3. It is desired that instructions may be issued to all concerned for ensuring strict compliance of the aforementioned recommendation by checking ID Cards and travelling authority of OBHS, Catering Staff, AC attendants and other staff travelling on the trains. In case valid travelling authority is not presented by the concerned staff, suitable action as per the provision of Railway Act, 1989 should be taken. DA: As above.
