Special course Module for Disaster Management for Line staff 
 
Objective of course:  
 
To inform Participants about Disaster & Disaster management, Railway Disaster, Special 
attention on NDRF, System & working of Disaster Management at various level in Railway. To 
educating trainee about :  
 
1. 
To Inculcate safety consciousness to prevent ‘ACCIDENT’.  
2. 
To Save LIVES and alleviate SUFFERINGS. 
3. 
To protect PROPERTY including MAIL. 
4. 
To provide SUCCOR and HELP to the passengers at the site of accident. 
5. 
To instill a sense of SECURITY and CONFIDENCE in the minds of the affected people. 
6. 
To restore THROUGH TRAFFIC. 
7. 
To ASCERTAIN the cause of accident. 
8. 
To make staff CONSCIOUS for the successful handling of DISASTER specially during 
Golden Hour. 
9. 
To inculcate the feeling of Co-ordination amongst staff.

To provide sufficient knowledge on : 
(a)   Behavior with victim 
(b)   Motivation 
(c)   Positive mental attitude

To take a lesson from the DISASTER in regard to its FUTURE RECURRENCE.
