RESOLUTION

In the Scheme for making appointment to the posts of General Managers and equivalent in the Railways, annexed to Government of India, Ministry of Transport (Department of Railways), (Railway Board)’s Resolution No.E(O)}III-84PM6/132 dated 16.07.1986, amended vide Ministry of Railways (Railway Board)’s Resolutions No.E(O)II-84PM6/132 dated 30.01.1987 and E(O)I-88PM/34 dated 26.02.1988.

the Government of India adopts this Resolution introducing further amendment as indicated in the Annexure, with immediate effect.

ORDER: Ordered that a copy of the Resolution be circulated among the members of various Group ‘A’ Railway Services.

Ordered also that the Resolution be published in the Gazette of India for general information.

ANNEXURE

SCHEME FOR MAKING APPOINMENTS TO POSTS OF GENERAL MANAGERS AND EQUIVALENT IN THE RAILWAYS,

AMENDMENT:

For the existing para 7.3 of Government of India Resolution NO.E(OVIL- 84PM6/132 dated 16.07.1986, the following shal! be substituted:-

“7.3 Only such of the empanelled officers would be considered for appointment to the posts of General Managers'cquivalent who are left with a minimum service of 2 years or more from the date of occurrence of the vacancy falling in their turn and for which they have been cleared.”
