भारत सरकार Government of India रेल मंत्रालय Ministry of Railways रेलवे बोर्ड (Railway Board) रेल मवन, नयी दिल्ली - 9900049, तिथि: 45. 49.2009 E(O)iI-S0/PM/74 Rail Bhavan, New Delhi - 110001, Dated: 15-10.2001 RESOLUTION In the Scheme for making appointment to the posts of General Managers and equivalent in the Railways, annexed to Government of India, Ministry of Transport (Department of Railways) (Railway Board)’s Resolution No.E(O)II-84/PM6/132 dated 16.07.1986, amended vide Ministry of Railways (Railway Board)’s Resolutions No.E(O)I1-84/PM6/132 dated 30.01.1987, E(O)II-88/PM/34 dated 26.02.1988, E(O)II- 90/PM/74 dated 31.12.1998, E(O)DI-98/PM/34 dated 05.04.1999 and E(O)II-90/PM/74 dated 27.07.2000, the Government of India adopts this Resolution introducing further amendment as indicated in the Annexure, with immediate effect. QRDER: Ordered that a copy of the Resolution be circulated among the members of various Group ‘A’ Railway Services. (To be published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part I, Section [) SCHEME FOR MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO POSTS MANAGER AND EQUIVALENT IN THE RAILWAYS. AMENDMENT 1, ANNEXURE OF GENERAL For the existing para 4.1 introduced by Government of India Resolution No.E(O)IM-84/PM6/132 dated 30.01.1987, the following shall be substituted:- “4.1 A panel of names for consideration for appointment to the posts of General Manager and equivalent, listed in Appendix-I to the Scheme, shall be prepared by a Selection Committee set up in accordance with para 5 of the Scheme. For this purpose, the Selection Committee shall consider on merit, eligible officers of each of the Railway Services listed in Appendix-II, having regard to their inter-se seniority as well as their seniority in the respective Services - officers working in Higher Administrative Grade (Rs.22,400-24,500) being placed above those working in Senior Administrative Grade (Rs.18,400-22,400) in each respective Service - and prepare a panel of officers considered suitable in all respects for appointment to the posts of General Manager and equivalent. The Selection Committee may also recommend the specific type/types of assignment for which a particular officer mentioned in the panel may be considered suitable.
