Sub: Retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of officers/staff posted to new zones. Ref: Board’s letter of even No. dated 30.08.07. ….. Some of the Railways have raised a doubt whether two months retention permission on normal rent payment as in the case of permanent transfer will be granted after the cut off dates prior to granting permission on education/medical grounds would be applicable in the above referred to cases. It is clarified that two months retention on payment at normal rent as in the case of permanent transfer, would also be applicable after the cut off date.
