Sub: Retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of the officers/staff posted to Jammu- Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla New Line Construction Project. ं

Retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of officers/staff posted to Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar New Line Construction Project was permitted upto the target date of completion of the project i.e. 15.08.07, vide Board’s letter No:E(G) 2001 QR1-14 dated 12.07.04.

As the said project could not be completed by August, 2007 due to technical reasons, Railway Board has decided that officers/staff posted to Jammu-Udhampur- Srinagar-Baramullah New Line Construction Project will be entitled to retention of Railway accommodation at previous place of posting for a further period of 2 years i.e.

upto 14.08.09.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

This disposes of Northern Railway’s letter No:290-W/14/W.Q./P1.15/02 dated

31.07.07.
