In pursuance of discussions held in the DC-JCM, Ministry of Railways have recided to modify the distribution of modify per capita annual contribution of Rs.35j- under Staff Benefit Fund sanctioned vide PJard's letter under reference above as follows.

Sanction is also communicated for additional ad hoc contribution to Staff Benefit Fund @ Rs.315j- per capita for the year 2008-09 to be allocated as per column - 3 below.

(i) General activities

(a) Education

(b) Recreation other than sports

(C) Promotion of Cultural Activities

(d) Relief of distress, sickness, etc.

(e) Women empowerment activities (f) Miscellaneous

(ii) Sports activities

(iii) Scouts activities

(iv) Indigenous system of medicine including ,.

Homoeopathy

(v) Immediate relief in times of crisis arising out of natural calamities

(vi) Training f ve ping occupational skills of BJlY cafly~men lIy challenged wards _..._____.-E!Specially girls of r "Iwayemployees.

However, re-oppropriation of funds amongst the activities under SBFis permitted with the GMs' personal approval taking into account the local conditions insofar as additional allotment is concerned. The annual allotment shall continue to be subject to re-appropriation conditions advised vide Board's letter No. E(W)97/FU-1/2 dated 8-8-1997.
