1. It is proposed to conduct a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for formation of
a panel for filling up the Group ‘B’ post of ACM in Commercial Department as detailed
hereunder:-

ll. No. of vacancy : 01 (UR — 01, SC —- 00, ST - 00)

2. Conditions of eligibility:

The eligibility conditions to appear for this selection are:

(i) Volunteers from Group 'C' Ministerial/Non Ministerial staff working in Commercial
Department holding a post in Level-6 or higher with five years of non-fortuitous service in
Level-6 and above shall be eligible to appear the selection. The non-fortuitous service of
five years shall be reckoned as on 01-11-2018. (RBE No.146/2004 & 203/2008)

(ii) Chief Law Assistants holding a post in Level-7 with five years of non-fortuitous service are
eligible to appear for the selection. The non-fortuitous service of five years shall be
reckoned ason 01-11-2018.

(iii) | Only such categories of staff who are eligible to be considered for promotion to Group B
service in the Commercial Department as per the extant rules will be eligible to appear in
the selection.

(iv) In case of CLAs and the Ministerial staff of Commercial Department, they shall exercise
option for promotion in Commercial Department within one month of their empanelment
for such promotion and the option once exercised shall be final. Once they exercise option
for promotion in commercial department they are not eligible for consideration for
promotion as Assistant Personnel Officer/Law Officer.

3: Scheme of examination and qualifying standards:- of examination and qualifying standards:-

i) The selection will consist of
(a) written examination of substantially higher standard than associated with the
normal 70% selection for promotion to Gr. ‘B’ posts and
(b) assessment in Record of service hi viva ५४०७ of those qualified in the written
examination.

ii) The written examination will consist of two papers of 3 hours duration each as detailed
hereunder:-

. A copy of the syllabus for the written examination is enclosed as “Annexure - B”. As per extant
instructions of the Railway Board questions related to official language policy and rules will carry
10% of the total marks allotted for the paper. These questions will be optional and not compulsory
one to answer.

. Those who qualify in the written test will be subjected to the prescribed Medical examination for Gr.
“B" post of ACM and only those found fit will be advised to appear for the viva — voce test.

. Volunteers who fulfill eligibility conditions as mentioned above may submit their applications as per

prescribed proforma (Annexure - “A”) to their supervisory officials on or before 17.09.2019. The
.concerned supervisory officials will compile all the applications and forward in one bunch to
concerned Sr.DPOs/Dy.CPO/CN/WPOs/Cadre controlling authority so as to reach them by
20.09.201
