Consequent on enhancement of Dearness allowance up to 50%
w.e.f 01.01.2024 vide letter under _ reference 1 above,
Supplementary claims for difference of TA/DA are to be admitted
Railway board vide letter under reference 2, has clarified that where
TA/DA has been paid at old rates supplementary claims for difference of
TA/DA would be admissible in respect of official tours made on or after
01.01.2014 in 6t Pay Commission. In the same lines, difference of
TA/DA to be paid w.e.f 01.01.2024 after issue of Railway board letter
under reference 1 above
Since, the software for drawal of drawn and due for payment of
difference of TA/DA w.e.f 01 01. 2024, has not been made available in
IPAS, it is requested to modify needful software to pay the difference of
TA/DA based on their earlier claims which are available in IPAS to avoid
duplicate claims.

Sub: Payment of difference on arrears of TA/DA arising out
of Rallway Board’s letter No.F{E}1/2011/AL-28/18

One of the Railways has sought clarification regarding a supplementary claim
for difference of TA/DA arising out of enhancement of Dearness allowance upto
100% wef, 1.1.14 after issue of Board’s letter No.F(E)/2011/AL/28/18 dt.
29.04.14.
2, The matter has been exarnined in Board’s office and it is clarifled that where
TA/DA has been paid at old rates supplementary claims for difference of TA/DA
would be admissible in respect of official tours made on or after 01,01.14
consequent to increase in the rates of TA/DA by 25%, w.e.f. 01.01.2014.
3. This disposes of South Eastern Railway's letter No. ENG/Bills/TARDA/604 dated
29.08.2015,

Sub: Revised Rates of various Allowances upon Dearness Allowance being raised to
50%.
Ref: Board’s letter No. PC-VII/2016/1/7/2/1(RBE No. 26/2024) dated 15.03.2024.
Vide Board’s letter referred above, the rate of Dearness Allowance was raised to 50%.
Consequently, multiple references have been received regarding revision in the rates of various
allowances whose rates were slated to be revised upon DA reaching 50%.
2. In view of the same, a list of such allowances whose rates shall be revised with DA reaching
50%, along with the revised rates is enclosed as Annexure-I.
3. The revised rates of these allowances shall be applicable with effect from 1* January, 2024.
