NOTIFICATION

G.S.R. - In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1968, namely:-

1. Short title and Commencement: (1) These rules may be called the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 2015.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1968, in rule 6, in the Explanation, after item (ix), the following item shall be inserted namely:-

“(x) any compensation awarded on the recommendation of the Complaints Committee referred to in the proviso to sub-rule (2) of rule 9 and established in a unit under the Ministry of Railways for inguiring into any complaint of sexual harassment within the meaning of rule 3 C of the Railway Services (Conduct) Rules, 1966”.
