Sub : Revision in the rate of Ration Money Allowance in respect of Non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel.

in terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 23.09.2008, non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel upto the rank of Inspector Grade-l, scale Rs.6500-10500 were entitled for Ration Money Allowance at par with Central Para Military Force (CPMF) personnel i.e. @ Rs.861/- per head per month w.e.f. 01.04.2008240

. 2. Pursuant to recommendation of VI CPC the Government have aflowed the payment of Ration Money Allowance to CPMF personnel on par with that available to Defence Forces. In view of this it has been decided that the rate of Ration Money Allowance in respect of non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel upto the rank of Inspector Grade-! scale Rs. 6500-10500 may be revised from Rs.861/- p.m. to Rs. 36.91 per day per head w.e.f 01.09.2008 to 31.03.2009 in fine with the rate laid down by the Ministry of Home Affairs for non-gazetted combatised CPMF personnel.

3. Accordingly, sanction of the Ministry of Railways is hereby accorded post-

- facto to revise the rate of Ration Money Allowance from Rs.861/- p.m. to Rs. 36.91 per day per head w.e-f 01.09.2008 to 31.03.2009.

4, Ration Money Allowance is not exempted from the purview of Income Tax and hence this Allowance is to be treated as income for the purpose of computation and Income Tax deducted at source. The other terms and conditions as stipulated in para 3 (a) & (b) of Board’s letter No. E(P&A)I- 98/ALL/RPF/1 dated 01.04.1998 shall remain unchanged.

5. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate. of the Ministry of Railways.

बोर्ड के 23.09.2008 के समसंख्यक पत्र के अनुसार, 6500-10500 रुपए के वेतनमान में निरीक्षक प्रेड- के स्तर तक के अराजपत्रित रेल सुरक्षा बलरैल सुरक्षा विशेष बल कार्मिक केन्द्रीय art सैनिक बल (सीपीएमएफ) कार्मिकों के समान अर्थात् 01.04.2008 31.03.2009 तक 861/- रुका के हिसाब से प्रति व्यक्ति प्रति माह की दर से राशन धनराशि भत्ते के हकदार थे।

2: _. छठे केन्द्रीय बेतन आयोग की सिफारिश के अनुसरण में, सरकार ने सीपीएमएफ कार्मिकों को रक्षा बलों को उपलब्ध राशन राशि भत्ते के समान भुगतान की अनुमति दी है। इसके दृष्टिगत यह विभिश्चय किया गया है कि निरीक्षक प्रेड-1 वेतनमान 6500-10500 रुपए के रैंक तक के अराजपत्रित रेल सुरक्षा . बलरिल सुरक्षा विशेष बल के संबंध में राशन राशि भत्ते की दर को 01.09.2008 से 31.03.2009 तक 861/- रुपए प्रति महीने से 36.91 रुपए प्रति व्यक्ति प्रतिदिन के हिसाब से अराजपत्रित लड़ाकू सीपीएमएफ कार्मिकों के लिए गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा निर्धारित की गई दर के अनुसार निर्धारित किया जाए।

3... तदनुसार, राशन राशि भत्ते की दर को 01.09.2008 से 31.03.2009 तक 861/- रुपए प्रति महीने से 36.91 रुपए प्रति व्यक्ति प्रतिदिन संशोधित करने की रेल मंत्रालय की कार्योत्तर स्वीकृति प्रदान की जाती है।

: 4... राशन राशि भत्ता आयकर के दायरे से बाहर नहीं है इसलिए यह भत्ता गणना और स्रोत पर काटे गए आयकर के प्रयोजनार्थ आय के रूप में माना जाए। बोर्ड के 01.04.1998 के पत्र सं. ई (पी एंड ए)1- 98/एएलएल/आरपीएफ/! के पैरा 3 (क) और (ख) में यथानिर्धारित अन्य निबंधन एवं शर्तें अपरिवर्तित रहेंगी । ः ः
