Sub: Rates for Automobile Traffic carried on NUG/BCCNR and BCACM wagons Ref: Rates Circular No. 11/2018, 22/2018 and 24/2019 & corrigendum thereto.

In terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 16.11.2020 (Corrigendum No.1 Rates Circular No. 24/2019), existing rates of Automobile traffic moving in NUG/BCCNR and BCACM wagons were extended up to 30.11.2021. In the existing rate table as contained in Rates Circular No.11/2018, the rates have been notified up to a distance of 3500 km.

2.0 It has been noticed that for the automobile traffic booked beyond 3500 km, the RR is not generated as rates for distance beyond 3500 km is not available.

3.0 The matter has been examined. Competent Authority has decided that when Automobile traffic booked in NMG/BCCNR and BCACM wagons for distance beyond 3500 km, the freight should be calculated as per the following:

“Firstly, freight per km should be calculated for highest available distance i.e. 3500 km.

For arriving freight for any distance beyond 3500 km, the freight per km arrived should be multiplied by the actual distance.”

Illustration: Freight 3500 km for NMG wagons is Rs.90875/-. Per km rate comes to Rs.25.96 (90875/3500). For any distance beyond 3500 km say 3605 km, the freight should be 3605 x

25.96=Rs.93585.8~Rs.93586/-.

4.0 All other details will remain unchanged.

5.0 This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Dte and with the concurrence of Finance Dte. of Ministry of Railways. पे Man, __
