Sub: Rates for Automobile Traffic carried on NMUG/BCCNR and BCACM wagons Ref: Rates Circular No. 11/2018, 22/2018 and 24/2019 & corrigendum thereto.

In terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 27.11.2020 (Corrigendum No.2 to Rates Circular No. 24/2019), methodology for calculation of freight for traffic booked beyond 3500 km was communicated.

The matter has been reviewed. It has been decided that following modification may be made in the illustration given in the Corrigendum No.2 referred above as per the following:

Illustration: Say freight for 3500 km for NUG wagons is Rs x. Therefore per km rate comes to Rs x/3500. For any distance beyond 3500 km say 3605 km, the Jreight should be Rs (x/3500)*3605.

All other details will remain unchanged.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
