Sub: Classification of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) in powder form

1.0 Sanction of the competent authority is hereby accorded to classify and charge “Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA)” at Class 130 (Trainload). Accordingly, “Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA)” shall appear in Group No. 22 under the main commodity head — Miscellaneous at Page No. 20 in the Goods Tariff No.48 Part-1 (Vol.II) as per the following:

2.0 These instructions shall come into effect from 36.07.2017 and shall remain in force till further advice.
