Sub: Congestion Surcharge on Goods Traffic Originating from Ports.

Ref: Board’s Rates Circular No. 36 of 2014

KRKEKKK

1. In terms of Rates Circular No. 36 of 2014, it was decided to levy Port Congestion Surcharge @10% on Base Freight Rate on all goods traffic, including Containers originating from Ports with effect from 24.11.2014.

2. The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to withdraw the levy of Port Congestion Surcharge.

3. This instruction shall come into force with immediate effect and shall be valid upto 31.03.2017.

4. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of
