Ref: Board’s letter No. TCR/1078/2015/24 dated 09.05.2016 (Rates Circular No. 16 of 2016).
RERKKK
1. Please refer to Rates Circular under reference whereby it was decided that the dual freight policy applicable for transportation of Iron Ore and Iron Ore Pellets will be discontinued and all types of Iron Ore and Iron Ore Pellets, whether meant for domestic consumption for manufacture of Iron and Steel as well as Cement or meant for other than domestic consumption, will be charged at Class-165 (Trainload). These instructions are valid up to
31.03.2017. .
2. The matter has been reviewed and the competent authority has decided that these instructions shall be extended beyond 31.03.2017 for a further period of one year i.e. up to 31.03.2018.
3. This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the
concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
