Sub: Provision of ¥/2 hour lunch break for DCRCs working on computer reservation counters, Under the PRS, the ECRCs are deputed to work for six hours on computer terminals although rostered -for 8 hours shift. The roster hours, however, differ from railway to railway. In the recent past, Railway Board had issued policy instructions to introduce uniform timings on computer reservation counters so that the passengers on various counters in different cities are not discriminated against in provision of reserved accommodation, fhe uniform timings as fixed are from 980.) hours to . 2400 hrs. in the first shift and from 1415 hours to 2000 hours in the second shift. The issue of providing lunch break to ECRCs working in PRS has been examined by the Railway Board and it has '* been decided that ¥2 hour lunsh break may be provided in the rostered duty of the staff working the first shift only without making any change in the gounter shifts. The timings of the lunch break may, however, be fixed as considered suitable by each individual railway. It must, however, be ensured that computer reservation counters rem2zin open from 0800 hours to 2900 hours 'ट< 9८ for 15 minutes break at the time of switching over of the shifts. eu how, (H.V.
