The CAO(R)s, DCW/ Patiala & COFMOW/ New Delhi.

The Directors,

IRICEN/ Pune, IRIMEE/ Jamalpur, IRISET/ Secunderabad, IRITM/ Lucknow & IRIEEN/ Nasik.

Sub: Posting of officers on return from foreign assignment.

Ref: Ministry of Railways’ letters No. E(O)III-91/PL/24 dated 21/02/92 and 07/03/95 (copies enclosed)

Instructions were issued vide Ministry of Railways’ letters under reference specifying the Railways/ Organisations to which officers on return from foreign assignment after a tenure of one year or more are normally to be posted and also laying down the procedure to be followed for such postings.

In the light of formation of the new Zones, the matter has been reviewed by the Board. It has been decided that the officers on return from foreign assignment after a tenure of one year or more will normally be posted to the following Raiiway/ Organisations:-

i) Eastern Railway

ii) East Central Railway

iii) East Coast Railway

iv) Northeast Frontier Railway

v) Northeast Frontier Railway (Construction) vi) South Eastern Railway

vii) South East Central Railway

vill) Chittaranjan Locomotive Works

ix) Metro Railway

x) Railway Electrification (Units on Eastern Railway, South Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, East Coast Railway & South East Central Railway).

Other terms and conditions mentioned in the letters under reference will remain the same.

These instructions shall take effect from the date of issue of this letter.
