Government of India(Bharat Sarkar) Ministry of Railways(Rail Mantralaya) (Railway Board) No. E(O)II- 91 PL/24. New Delhi, dt. 16 .09.1999 General Managers, All Indian Railways/ Production Linits etc. Subject: Posting of Group ‘A’ officers for career development in Eastern region. Ministry of Railways have decided that with a view to effect career development of officers, such of the officers who have not earlier worked in the Eastern region comprising Eastern Railway, N.F. Railway, $.E. Railway (including Construction organisations), CLW and portion of RE organisation on S.E. Railway and Eastern Railway territory, and who would be coming up for posting as ADRM, DRM, CHOD/PHOD or Executive Director in Railway Board in due course should be required to work on Railways/Units in Eastern region for a period of minimum three years or a period during which they could earn at least three ACRs. For this purpose, following procedure should be adopted and followed :- (i) Officers empanelled in JAG/SAG and working in non-Eastern region should be considered and continue to be considered for being given posting in Eastern region on Railways/Units as indicated. (ii) | In general posts in Eastern region i.e. ADRM, DRM, SDGM and the post of CPO where non-IRPS officers are to be posted, officers working in non-Eastern region should first be posted as far as possible. (iii) Such of SAG officers who are likely to come up for posting as DRM/PHOD may be considered for posting in Eastern region in exchange with officers working there. 2, Where an officer has not worked in Eastern region for the required period during his entire career, a relaxation is required to be obtained from Minister-in-charge of Railways before he is posted as CHOD/PHOD either in SAG or HAG. 3.
