Sub:. Piecemeal loading in NMG in Empty Flow Direction. Ref: NR's letter No.49-T/BDU/TGS dated 25.10.2022 Reference above, it is to reiterate that when traffic is offered in standard rake size the same is chargeable at trainload class rates and when traffic is offered in less than standard rake size, the same is chargeable at wagonload class rate The proposal of the Railway has been examined. It is to clarify that when less than - standard rake size is loaded, provision already exists for charging of the traffic at wagon load rate. In the instant case, Railway may load Automobile traffic in lesser number of NMGs than permitted for availing train. load benefit in empty flow movement of NMG wagons. Such empty flows shall be subject to due certification from the office of PCOM. However, automobile traffic shall be charged at wagon load class rates as per the extant guidelines laid down in Rates Circular No.32 of 2021 and Corrigenda thereto All other terms and conditions for movement of wagonload traffic shall be applicable.
