संघ की राजभाषा हिंदी और लिपि देवनागरी होगी
The Official Language of the Union shall be Hindi in Denagari Script
राजकीय प्रयोजनों के लिए प्रयोग होनेवाले अंकों का रूप भारतीय अंकों का अंतराष्ट्रीय रूप होगा
The form of Numerals to be used for the Official Language purpose of the union shall be the Ingternational form of Indian Numerals

4. अनुच्छेद/Article : 343(2) खंड/Sec.(1)
इस अनुच्छेद के तहत राजभाषा के साथ साथ अंग्रेजी का प्रयोग करने की अवधि 15 वर्ष की होगी
The Period for Use of Official Language along with English will be 15 Years.
परंतु राष्ट्रपति उक्त कालावधि में, आदेश द्वारा संघ के राजकीय प्रयोजनों में से किसी के लिए अंग्रेजी भाशा के साथ हिंदी भाषा का तथा भारतीय अंकों के अंतराष्ट्रीय रूप के साथ साथ देवनागरी अंकों के प्रयोग को प्राधिकृत कर सकेगा ।
President may during the said period by order authorise the use of Hindi Language addition to English language and the Devnagari form of Numerals for any of Official Purpise of the union.

5. अनुच्छेद/Article : 344
राष्ट्रपति इस संविधान के प्रारंभ से पांच वर्श की समाप्ति पर तथा उसके बाद ऐसे प्रारंभ सेदस वर्ष की समाप्ति पर आदेश द्वारा एक आयोग गठित करेगा जो एक अध्यक्ष और अष्टम अनुसूची में उल्लिखित भिन्न भाषाओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करनेवाले ऐसे अन्य सदस्यों से मिलकर बनेगा जैसे कि राष्ट्रपति नियुक्त करें ।
The President shall at the expiration of five years from the commencement of this Constitution and thereafter at the expiration of ten years from such commencement by order constitute a commission and such other members repesenting the different languages specified in the Eighth Schedule.
