Apropos to above, please find enclosed herewith HQ’s letters under reference in connection with provision to capture the mobile number in failed transaction through digital payment in UTS & ATVM and cancellation of tickets booked through digital payment and provision to engage the general public as facilitator to sell unreserved tickets through ATVM. It is instructed to inform all staff working under you for the same.

Apropos to the above mentioned subject, CRIS has added few more features in UTS, ATVM & SMC application, the details are as under:

1. Release of provision to capture the Mobile number in failed transaction through digital payment in UTS & ATVM and cancellation of tickets booked through digital payment.

2. Release of provision to engage the general public as facilitator for issuing of Unreserved Tickets through ATVM & Provision of duplicate SMC against lost facilitator card.

The above changes has been released on line UTS application with effect from 01.12.2024.

With reference to the above subject, Railway Board desired that passengers should get the refund related SMS alerts in case of amount debited from his/her account but booking transaction failed due to any reason. In this regard, CRIS has released updated version of UTS/ATVM/SMC applications w.e.f. 29.11.2024. The new applications having provision of capturing the mobile number for sending sms to the passenger in case of digital transactions failure.

In UTS, the form of capturing mobile number will be popped-up if the operator will press N or CRTL+A on “PRINT” field while booking through digital transactions. The same option can also be accessed by choosing the appropriate menu “option number 21” from main menu. The feeding of mobile number is optional and required to send the SMS alerts to the passengers if payment has been completed successfully but ticket is not printed due to non-receipt of payment confirmation from Bank/CPG.
