Apropos to above, please find enclosed herewith a copy of HQ’s letter under reference (1) in connection with initiatives to be undertaken to promote and proliferate QR code-based payment ticketing. Initiatives to be undertaken are as under:

 Display of posters/stickers outside ticket counters and at conspicuous places informing availability of QR code-based payment ticketing.

 Announcement/Audio jingles through Public Announcement system at stations and UTS/PRS Queuing area.

 Promotional campaign by involving Supervisor/Staff for spreading awareness to be done for 15 days starting from 14.08.2024 and submit report to this office on 01.09.2024.

 Information to customers about facility of QR code based payment of fare by ticket counter staff before initiating transaction.

 Nominate best performing staff in terms of sale of ticket through QR code mode.

Further it is instructed to submit compliance report & also the issue faced in QR based ticketing (if any) at the earliest to this office that the same can be appraised to HQ.

The overall implemeotatoo of QR devife positoo refefts that out of 1498 fuoftooal QR devife, ooly 673 are fommissiooed at UTS / UCP / PRS fouoters aod balaofe 825 are stll peodiog to be fommissiooed. Divisioo wise positoo as uoder :

The sale of tfkets through QR fode is beiog mooitored at Board level. Divisioos are advised to excpedite the fommissiooiog of remaioiog QR devife & eosure that all tfketog fouoters are provided with QR fode paymeot fafility by 14.08.24 positvely aod also suggested measures are adopted to promote Digital traosaftoo efeftvely. The day-to-day progress of QR fode devife fommissiooiog aod mooitoriog the % of QR based tfketog vis a vis Total tfketog be dooe at offer level also.
