Apropos to the above, please find enclosed herewith a copy of letter under reference in connection with instructions to be followed for preparation of manual TR note (if necessary).

In view of the above, it is instructed to follow the guidelines issued vide letter under reference in case, if preparation of manual TR note is necessary.

Sub: Instructions related to e-TR It is observed that despite implementation of e-TR from January 2025, manual TR notes are being issued at many stations. It is also noted that in some cases manual TR notes are being given to the cash pick-up agency though system generated TR number is available. This is causing problems in reconciliation with credit scrolls.

Manual TR should be discouraged. Exception report showing reasons for issue of manual e-TR note should be monitored regularly. In case manual TR notes are unavoidable, it is requested that the following instructions may be issued to the stations.

a) e-TR is getting generated for each day. In the same manner manual TR should be separate for each day. Do not club 2-3 days earnings in a single manual TR and hand over to cash pick up agency.

b) In cases where e-TR note is issued later due to technical problems like network, thin client or printer issues or software problems, it should be ensured that one e-TR note is issued for each manual TR note and manual TR note number is correctly entered in UTS.

c) Special Characters should not be there in manual TR note number. No space, no comma, no slash etc. should be allowed. It should be alphanumeric only.

d) If e-TR is correctly generated, then there is no need to feed anything in manual TR option. CRIS may be requested that UTS system should not allow selection of ‘M’ if e-TR has been generated.

e) Manual TR note should not be given to cash pickup agency if system generated e-TR is available. It is observed that in some cases manual TR note has been given, though system generated e-TR was available.

Any technical issues related to e-TR note may kindly be referred to CRIS with a copy to this office.
