Sub: Notification of CC+8 routes over Indian Railway.

Ref: (i) Board’s letter No.2018/E&R/1(8)/4 dated 24.04.2018.

(ii) Rates Master Circular/PCC/CC+8 etc./2020/0 dated 01.05.2020.

1. Please refer to Annexure Ill to Rates Master Circular under reference at (ii) above, wherein list of CC+8 routes is prescribed.

2. In terms of reference (i) above, General Managers are empowered to approve running of CC+8 operation. Other conditions and procedures shall remain same.

3. East Central Railway has forwarded proposal with due approval of General Manager to include route in the list of already identified CC+8 routes as below:

e Kathautia (KAUA) - Duari (DUAI)(SL)

4. Matter has been examined and sanction of the Competent Authority is hereby accorded to include the above referred route of East Central Railway in the list of already identified CC+8 routes . The speed limit may be reviewed and revised by the Zonal Railway as and when required.

5. Accordingly, Annexure-lll of Rates Master Circular under reference (ii) above shall be modified.

6. All other details of the Rates Master Circular & Corrigenda thereto under reference shall continue to apply unchanged.

7. These instructions shall come into effect from 24.04.2026 and shall remain valid till further advice.

8. These issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation and with the concurrence

of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways. ole [p72
