Sub: Notification of Rates Circular for 25T axle routes.

Board's Letter No.2013/TT-I/27/15 dated 28.07.2020;

Board’s Letter No.2019/CE-II/TS/25T dated 01.09.2020 as modified:

Rates Master Circular/PCC/CC+8etc./2020/0 dated 01.05.2020 and Corrigenda thereto.

SWR-ZHQOENGG(BR)/204/2025-O/0OAXEN/Br/HQ/SWR dated 07.11.2025

In terms of reference at (i) & (ii) above, Board’s approval was communicated for

restarting of 25 Tonne axle load operation with such rolling stock as are fit/ certified

for 25 Tonne axle load

The 25 Tonne routes are notified in terms of Annexure-IV of Rates Master Circular under reference (iii) above

South Western Railway's proposal has been examined and the Competent Authority has approved to include the following route in the list under reference (iii) above, as 25 Tonne axle load notified routes

Ballari Bypass(BAYP) Single Line

This speed limit can be reviewed by the Zonal Railway and may be revised as and when required.

Fulfillment of all pre-requisities and installation of WILD as planned as stipulated in Board’s letter no.2019/CE-II/TS/25T dated 01.09.2020 and 23.07.2024 shall be ensured

These instructions shall come into effect from 27.07.2026 and shall remain valid till further advice.

This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways 4
