Sub: Running of freight trains on CC+6 tonne routes.
Ref: (i) Board’s letter No.2018/E&R/1(8)/4 dated 24.04.2018.
(ii) Rates Master Circular/PCC/CC+8 etc./2020/0 dated 01.05.2020.
1. In terms of Rates Master Circular/PCC/CC+8 etc. dated 01.05.2020 and amendments thereto, instructions were issued for universalisation of CC+6 routes- wherein Para 4.0 states that, "All BG routes of Indian Railways except the routes mentioned in the above said Annexure, are treated as CC+6 routes." In addition to this, a list of Excepted CC+6(CC+4) routes was also annexed to the circular.
2. The matter has been examined and it has been decided to delete the Samastipur(SPJ)-Darbhanga(DBG) and Sagauli(SGL)-Raxaul(RXL)/SL from the list of Excepted CC+6(CC+4) -Annexure-ll.
3. All other details of the Rates Master Circular & Corrigenda thereto under reference shall continue to apply unchanged.
7.These instructions shall come into effect from 12.08.2026 and shall remain valid till
