Sub: Notification of PCC etc. of various wagons
Ref: Board’s letter of even number dated 27.07.2022 notifying corrigendum appearing
in header of this letter.
Refer Annexure-I to reference above. It has been observed that FOIS has maximum
length of 10 digits for Wagon Type Code without any special character like '(', ')'.
It has been decided by the Competent Authority to revise the wagon nomenclature of
various wagons whose length is more than 10 digits as under:
1. RORO (CAR-A) shall be read as ROROCARA.
2. RORO (CAR-B) shall be read as ROROCARB.
3. BCL (8 axle) shall be read as BCL8Axle.
4. BCLHTC (8 axle) shall be read asBCLHTC8Axl.
5. BOBRNALHSM1 shall be read as BOBRNAHSM1.
All other details shall remain the same.
This issues in consultation with Mechanical Engineering Directorate of Ministry of
Railways.
