Sub: Operation of 25 T Axle Load Trains on Sidings.
Ref: Board's letter no. 2013/CE-II/TS/25T dated 14.07.2015 and related correspondence.
Various proposals for notification of section of routes from serving station to Sidings/Private sidings are being received from Zonal Railways for operation of 25T axle load trains on Sidings.
Attention is invited to Railway Board’s letter no. 2013/CE-II/TS/25T dated
14.07.2015(copy enclosed), whereby Zonal Railways are empowered to notify the running of 25T axle load trains on sidings subject to certification of fitness of track and bridges and compliance of the prescribed minimum track structure as instructed from time to time. Zonal Railways are advised to follow these guidelines in case of operation of 25 T Axle Load Trains on Sidings.
This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
