Ref: Rates Master Circular/PCC/2014/0 dated 09.07.2014 and its Corrigendum dated 03.03.2015 & dated 12.03.2015.

1.0 Please refer to Annexure | to Rates Master Circular under reference wherein Permissible Carrying Capacity and Loading Tolerance of various wagons are prescribed. Now, sanction of the Central Government is hereby accorded to revise the Loading Tolerance of BCNHL wagons from 0 T to 0.5 T.

2.0 All other details of the Rates Master Circular & Corrigenda thereto under reference will continue to apply unchanged.

3.0 These instructions will come into effect from 10 .07.2015 and will remain valid till further advice.

40 An advance copy of the notification dated 10.07.2015 regarding Railways (Punitive Charge for overloading of wagon) (Amendment) Rules, 2015 is enclosed herewith. Printed Gazette Notification will be circulated in due course.

9.0 This issues with the approval of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Traffic Transportation Directorates and with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the {ot July, 2015

CSR (L:).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(]) read with clause (d) of sub- section(2) of section 87 of the Railways Act, 1989(No. 24 of 1989), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railways(Punitive charges for overloading of wagon) Rules, 2012, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Railways (Punitive charges for overloading of wagon) (Amendment) Rules, 2015.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Railways(Punitive charges for overloading of wagon) Rules, 2012, in the SCHEDULE,-

(i) in Situation A, for part-I1, the following part shall be substituted, namely:- “Part-Hl

(i) For BCNHEL wagons

*Punitive charges leviable on the - weight of commodity loaded in excess of permissible carrying capacity and loading tolerance of half _tonne |

Extent of overloading

If the weight of the commodity exceeds permissible carrying capacity of wagon; ae

(a) upto half tonne Nil
