Rates Circular No. 109 of 2007 Government of India (Bharat Sarkar) Ministry of Railways (Rail Mantralaya) (Railway Board) No.TCR/1394/2007/2 New Delhi, dated 05.12.2007 Chief Commercial Managers All Indian Railways. Sub: Running of freight trains in 25 tonne axle load route. 1.0 In supersession of Board’s letter of even number dated 01.06.2007 (Rates Circular No.60 of 2007), sanction of the Central Government is hereby accorded for notifying the following routes as 25T axle load routes for loading of iron ore in specified wagons. Railway Route Banspani-Daitari-Jakhpura-Paradeep, Kirandul-Kottavalasa-Vishakhapatnam ECoR Koraput-Rayagada-Vizianagaram-Vishakhapatnam SER Noamundi-Banspani-Tata SECR Marauda-Dallirajhara SWR Torangullu-Ranjitpura 2.0 The wagons which are cleared for 25 tonne axle load routes are BOXNEL, BOBSNMI and BOYEL wagons. 2.1 The permissible carrying capacity of above wagons on above specified routes will be as under: Wagons Permissible carrying capacity (in tonnes) Loading tolerance (in tonnes) BOXNEL 75 2 BOBSNMI 68 2 BOYEL 77 2 3.0 The standard rake size and minimum number of wagons to be loaded for availing trainload rate benefit for these wagons will be as under: Wagons Standard rake size Minimum number of wagons to be loaded BOXNEL 58 56 BOBSNMI 52 48 BOYEL 52 50 ..2/- -2- Rates Circular No. 109 of 2007 3.1 Necessary modification in Annexure-II of Rates Circular No.25 of 2007 (Freight Incentive Schemes and Transportation Products: Policy guidelines) may be made accordingly. 4.0 These instructions will come into force w.e.f. 20.12.2007. 5.0 This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Directorates and with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
