Sub: Running of freight trains on CC+8 routes.

Ref: Rates Circular 28 of 2008 and addendum thereto and Rates Circular No.41 of 2009.

1.0 In terms of Rates Circular No.41 of 2009 , sanction was accorded for extension of the pilot project for running of freight trains on identified CC+8 routes for one year subject to fulfillment of certain terms and conditions as stipulated in Rates Circular No.28 of 2008 and addendum thereto. These instructions are valid upto 30.06.2010

2.0 The matter has been examined. Sanction of the Central Government is hereby accorded to extend the validity of instructions for running of freight trains on identified CC+8 routes beyond 30.06.2010.

Sanction is also accorded to include following routes in the list of already identified CC+8 routes:

Suratgarh-Lalgarh-Kolayat-Phalodi (NWR) Lalgarh-Merta Road (NWR)

Mathura Jn-Bayana-Kota-Nagda (WCR, WR, NCR) Ruthiyai-Maksi (WCR, WR)

Kurduwadi-Latur Road (CR)

Wani-Pimpalkutti (CR)

Vasai Road-Diva (CR, WR) Arakkonam-Jolarpettai-Magnesite-Mettur Dam (SR) Bangarpet-Jolarpettai (SWR, SR)

10. Sambalpur-Sambalpur City Byepass (ECoR)

11. Jharsuguda Road-Ib Byepass (ECoR, SECR)

12. Dumriput-Manabar Byepass (ECoR)

13. Urslapur (USL)- Dadhapara (DPH) Byepass (SECR)

14. Link Junction-COI yard (NCR)

3.0 All other details of the Rates Circular under reference will continue to apply unchanged.

4.0 These instructions will come into effect from 01.07.2010 and will remain valid till further advice.

5.0 This issues with the approval of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Traffic

Transportation Directorates and with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
