Sub: Permitting running of freight trains on CC+6 routes - Universalisation
Ref: Board’s letter No.TCR/1394/2004/2 dated 20.07.2007

1.0
In terms of Rates Circular No.76 of 2007, instructions were issued for universalisation of
CC+6 routes. In addition to this, a list of “excepted CC+6 routes” was also annexed to the
circular.
2.0
It has been decided to include (i) Ajmer-Chittaurgarh section of NWR and (ii) Allahabad-
Varanasi section of NER in the list of ‘excepted CC+6 routes’. It has also been decided to
revise the section “Sitarampur-Jhajha” of ER as “Jhajha-Simultala” section in the Annexure
to Rates Circular No.76 of 2007.
2.1
Accordingly, the Annexure attached to the Rates Circular No.76 of 2007 has been modified
and is enclosed herewith as Annexure.
3.0
All other details of Rates Circular No.76/2007 will remain unchanged.
4.0
These instructions will come into force w.e.f. 30.10.2007.
5.0
This issues with the approval of Civil Engineering, Traffic Transportation and Finance
Directorates of Ministry of Railways.
