Sub : Inflation in distance for charging freight on Banspani-Tomka section. Ref: EC,oR’s letter No.PCCM/Inflation/Distance/BSPX-TMKA/Pt.1/46C) dated 30.05.2025. In view of the proposal of East Coast Railway for extending the chargeable freight on the basis of inflated distance for the period beyond 31.05.2025 and the same being under examination in the Board, as an interim measure, in the interest of avoiding any loss of revenue to Indian Railways, ECoR and all concerned zonal railwaYS are advised to continue charging of freight at the existing rate for traffic moving on the Banspani- Tomka section, in terms of Rates Circular No.19 of 2021 dated 17.05.2021, till a decision is taken on the referred proposal of ECoR by Railway Board. GRIS/FOIS is advised to take necessary action accordingly.
