Sub: Levy of terminal charge on automobile traffic,
Ref: i) Rates Circular No. 24 of 2018 regarding levy of terminal charges.
ii) RC No. 14 of 2019 dated 14.06.2019 and corrigenda thereto.
1. Reference above, Para 3 of Rates Circular No. 14 of 2019 Stipulated exemption from
levy of terminal charge on automobile traffic.
2. The matter of applicability of terminal charge on automobile traffic was reviewed from
time to time and the last exemption up .to 31.12.2024 was notified in terms of
Corrigendum No. 04 to Rates Circular No. 14 of 2019 dated 26.12.2023.
3. The matter has been further reviewed and it has been decided by the Competent
Authority to continue the validity of the exemption beyond 31.12.2024 till 30.06.2025.
4. This issues in consultation with Freight Marketing Directorate and with the
concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
