Sub: Liberalised Automatic Freight Rebate Scheme for traffic loaded in Traditional Empty Flow Directions (TEFD)

Ref : Rates Circular No.09 of 2024 and Corrigenda thereto.

1. In terms of Rates Circular under reference and Corrigenda thereto, guidelines were issued for Liberalised Automatic Freight Rebate Scheme for traffic loaded in Traditional Empty Flow Directions (TEFD). This Scheme is operative up to

31.03.2025. .

2. The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided by the Competent Authority for extension of the extant TEFD policy guidelines for a further period of one year i.e. up to 31.03.2026.

3. All other terms and conditions shall remain the same.

4. This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the concurrence of Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways.
