Sub: Policy Guidelines- Transportation Products- Block Rake, Mini Rake, Two Point Combinations etc.

Ref: Rates Master Circular/2016 dated 14.07.2016 on Block Rake/Mini Rake/Two Point Combination etc and Corrigenda thereto.

1.0 Please refer to Annexure | to Rates Master Circular under reference wherein

- compositions of Block Rakes have been prescribed for charging at trainload class rate.

2.0 Sanction of the Railway Board is hereby accorded for fixing the Rake Composition for carrying 18 meters long Rails. This rake shall consist of 40 wagons arranged in 10 units each of four converted BRN/BRNA wagons. This rake shall be named as Rail Panel Transportation Rake. Accordingly, following entry shall be inserted below the existing entry 34 (c) in Annexure | to above referred Rates Master Circular:

Carriage of 18 meters long Rail 10 units each of four converted BRN/BRNA 40 wagons i.e. total 40 converted BRN/BRNA wagons standard rake size

3.0 In the above rake composition, BRN/BRNA wagons shall be charged at

respective PCC for class of commodity being carried. A Supplementary Charge of 5% on Base Freight Rate shall be levied for the above rake composition.

4.0 All other conditions of the Rates Master Circular under reference shall remain unchanged

5.0 These instructions shall come into effect from 10.03.2017 and shall remain valid till further advice.

6.0 This issues in consultation with Mechanical Engineering and Traffic Transportation Directorates and with concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways
