Chief Commercial Manager ECR Sub: Free time for loading/unloading of long haul rakes Ref: Rates Master Circular/Demurrage- Wharfage-Waiver/2016/0 and its amendments Please refer to ECR's letter No.ECR/CRM/FMS/MISC/04 dt.19.04.2024 seeking clarification regarding free time for loading/unloading of long haul rake moving between Kusmahi Goods shed (KUMH) and Koderma Thermal Power Station Siding (KPSH).
The matter has been examined. It is to be mentioned that the indenting of rakes is done by customer(s) for a standard rake size and free time is prescribed for both loading and unloading as per Board's circular under reference. Running of long haul rake is an operational requirement, and hence, as per extant rules, free time will be reckoned from the time of placement of the rake.
