In supersession of above referred instructions regarding tourist tickets in Mumbai Sr:burban Sections of Central & Western Railways, Ministn'of Railu,ays have now decided to rationalise tourist ticket fare in suburban services over all Indian Railv"'ays. Details of the same are as under:

(i) The revised fare f<rr tourist tickets shall be as under:

(ii) CIDCO surcharge shall not be applicable on tourist tickets. Other charges like MUTP, MRTS & MMTS on tourist tickets for both second and lirst class shall be levied at par with that applicable for season tickets for 1 1-50 km.

(iii) Child ticket: The basic fare of child tickets shall be half the basic fares, rounded off to next higher multiple of Rs. 5/-, u'herever required. Other charges shall be levied in full.

(iv) Validity: These tickets will be valid lor (a) one day (in case of 1 day tickets),

(b) 3 days (in case of 3 day tickets) and 5 davs (in case of 5 day tickets) to travel any number ol times, from any station to any station on ihe suburban sections of all Indian Railways. fhese tickets q,iil be valid upto mid-night of their date of validity. The date/dates and period of vaiidiq' shall be mentioned on each ticket.

(v) Advance issue of tickets: These tickets advance, exqireding the first day of validity.

(vi) Concer;sion: No concession shall be admissible to an]'one on these tickets.

{vii) Refutrd: No refund shall be admissibie on unused/partially usecl rourisr tickets under any circumstances. Ho*'er.er, tourist tickets booked in advance c:an bc cancelled after deducting usual clerkage charges, as mentioned in ruie 213.4 ol iRCA Coaching Tariff No. 25, Part I (Vol. I), which at present is Rs. 3O for Second Class and Rs. 6O for First Class. Such cancellation rs permrtted only before the lirst day of validity. Further, the period of validity of these tickets can not be increased under any circumstances.
