The General Managers, All Zonal Railways-

Sub: Provision of special imprest for refund of PRS counter tickets under unusual circumstances.

Ref: This office letter of even no. TC-II/2910/2020/Imprest to station dated 20.03.2020.

In continuation to above instruction regarding imprest cash for refund of passenger fare on PRS counter ticket in view of Pandemic Covid 19, Ministry of Railways have further decided that the instructions dated 20.03.2020 as referred above shall become applicable, after the approval of Divisional Railway Manager, in event of huge number of cancellations due to agitation, flood, accidents, natural calamities etc leading a situation where traffic receipts at stations fall short of refunds to be issued at PRS counters.

Point | of the above referred policy shall be modified as -"Sr. DCM/DCM incharge shall advise the amount required for refund of tickets, after approval from DRM, duly taking into account the receipts and likely refunds during the situations like agitation, flood, accidents, natural calamities etc. where, due to huge number of cancellations, traffic receipts fall short of refunds to be issued at PRS counter. 3. All such records along with the accountal details shall invariably be part of station returns sent to TA office.

4, Other terms and conditions shall remain same as instructed vide letter dated 20.03.2020.

5. This disposes off NR’s letter no.CCM/PRS/Booking/Spl.Imprest Cash/2021 dated 31.12.2021.

This issues with the concurrence of Fi nance and Accounts Directorates of Ministry of Railways.
