Sub: Applicability of incentive for reckoning 50% of the time during extended night hours Ref: Rates Master Circular/Demurrage- Wharfage- Waiver/20 16/0 Please refer to WR's letter No.C.124I1Nol.XV dt.23.10.2018 requesting to reconsider modification in the Illustration(3) of Annexure-B of Rates Master Circular under reference, which was communicated vide Board's letter No.TC-I/2018/201l1 dt.12.03.2018. In this regard, Board's guidelines stipulates - "As an introductory incentive for the consignor/consignee to release the rake during extended night hours beyond 22:00 Hours, only 50% of the time taken between 22:00 Hours to 06:00 Hours or the time upto which working hours have been extended should be reckonedfor calculation of free time for loading, unloading or removable of consignment on the Railway premises" As there was some typographical error in the above-mentioned illustration, the same was rectified vide Board's letter No.TC-I/2018/201/1 dt.l2.03.2018 duly keeping in view the spirit of Board's policy. The rule says 50% incentive is given for calculation of free time. In the above-mentioned illustration, 2hours remaining free time has been given incentive as notional 4hours i.e. upto 02:00 Hours and in case the rake is detained beyond 02:00 Hours, then the period from 02:00 to 06:00 i.e. 4 hours is treated as excess detention without any.incentive, . \ '-../'- ~I;"'O'/ f (Barjesh Dharmani) Exec.
