In this regard, Accounts directorate of Railway Board has advised as under:

1. Earlier the digital Pay Orders were being sent to wrong Accounting Units which has been set right. Now the pay orders are being received in the correct Accounting Units.

2. The refund status is being monitored regularly. However, Railways have requested that in order to pass Pay Order related to waiver of online bills of Demurrage Charges and Wharfage Charges through IREPS, documents (such as sanction of competent authority etc.) details related to prepayment and waiver should be made available to Accounts with digital Pay Order which has not yet been provided along with digital pay orders sent through IRePS. These documents are necessary for making payment related to waiver.

3. In case of other payments made on digital bills, the documents required for pre-check are also being provided. Hence, FOIS and IRePS should facilitate the uploading of necessary documents.

CRIS/FOIS is hereby advised to facilitate provision of necessary documents along with Digital Payorders through IRePS to facilitate timely payments of Demurrage/Wharfage waiver bills. In case any modification is to be made in IP AS, necessary steps will be taken by Accounts directorate of Railway Board.
