Sub: Premium Indent Scheme - Premium Charge in case of Rebooking/Commercial
Diversion of a rake
Ref: Rates Circular No.32 of 2020 and its corrigenda
Please refer to Board's circulars under reference regarding Premium Indent Scheme.
The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to prescribe guidelines for rakes,
which are initially booked under Premium Indent Scheme and subsequently rebooked or diverted
on the request of customer, as given below-
"If a rake, initially booked under Premium Indent Scheme, is rebooked or diverted on
the request of
customer, then Premium Charge will be- recalculated and additional
Premium Charge (i.e. difference of
Premium Charge already paid) will be collected at
the point of
rebooking or diversion, as the case may be. However, these guidelines will
not be applicable in case of
operational diversion. "
Accordingly, Rates Circular No.32 of 2020 stands modified. All other extant guidelines
will continue to apply unchanged.
These guidelines will be implemented w.e.f.16th December 2021.
This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation directorate and with the concurrence
of Finance directorate of Ministry of Railways.
