MRo .ff ,(cfiFC GOVERNMENT OF INDIA ~'1:iiit-14 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (mcl' ~ RAILWAY BOARD) No.TC-I/2020/1 Ol/efile/1(3323942) New Delhi, dt.05.07.2023 Chief Commercial Manager(FM) NFR Sub: Premium Indent Ref: (i) Rates Circular No.32 of 2020 and its subsequent amendments (ii) Board's letter No.TC-1/2012/101/1 dt.31.01.2020 Please refer to NFR's letter No.NFR-HQOCOMM(IT)/3/2022(73200) dt.29.03.2023 wherein inter alia mentioning that customers are initially placing Premium Indent for short distance and subsequently applying for rebooking for a longer distance, Railway has suggested to prescribe limitations in the scheme. In this regard it is to state that as per Corrigendum No.4 to Rates Circular No.32 of 2020 - "if a rake, initially booked under Premium Indent Scheme, is rebooked or diverted on the request of customer, then Premium Charge will be recalculated and additional Premium Charge(i.e. difference of Premium Charge already paid) will be collected at the point of rebooking or diversion, as the case may be .... " Further, vide Board's letter dt.3 l.01.2020 under reference (ii), Zonal Railways are empowered to notify detailed guidelines regarding acceptance of indents keeping in view the local conditions.
