In terms of Board's circular under reference(ii), free time for loading/unloading of Slag, Clinker, Iron
Ore in BOBYN wagons, when supplied in place of open wagons, is as under (valid upto 30.06.2023)-

The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided that whenever a customer places an indent for
Open wagons and due to non availability of Open wagons, if Hopper wagons (e.g. BOBY,
BOBR, BOBS, BOBYN, BOBRN etc.) are supplied against such indent, then free time as prescribed for
Open wagons (mentioned above) will be applicable, irrespective of the commodity handled. However, in
case Hopper wagons are handled on hopper system, then free time as prescribed for Hopper wagons will be
applicable.
The aforesaid modification will be captured in FOIS, i.e. the demand must reflect Open wagons and
Hopper wagons provided against the Open wagons must be captured in the system. Error message if any
may be rectified in consultation with CRIS.
CRIS/FOIS shall provide Zonal Railway wise data(July to November, 2023) regarding Hopper
wagons provided in lieu of Open wagons to Board's office by I" December, 2023, for review.
These guidelines will be effective w.e.f.01.07.2023 and valid for six months i.e. upto 31.12.2023.
