Sub: Registration of demand for wagons electronically(e-RD) Ref: Rates Master Circular/e-RD/2019/0 and its amendments

Please refer to Board’s circular under reference regarding guidelines for placement of indent in e-RD module. Freight customer while placing indent for wagons has to specify the type of wagon.

It is to state that sometimes other variant of wagon ( say, BCNA in place of BCN) are supplied as per the availability.

In view of above, it has been decided that in e-RD module, a provision may be made for giving a pop message to the customer at the time of placing indent that "in case of non availability of the type of wagon indented, its other variant(like.....) will be supplied”.

CRIS will make provision in the system for indicating name of other variant.

Say, a customer has indented for BCN, then FOIS will inform name of its other variant like BCNA, BCNHL etc.

This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation directorate of

Railway Board.
