Sub: Integration of weighbridges with FOIS Ref: (i) Rates Circular No.12 of 2007 and its corrigendum dt.06.08.2012

(ii) Rates Circular No.15 of 2013

(iii) Para 4.0 of Rates Master Circular/Provision of Weighbridge/2014/0

In terms of extant guidelines, private weighbridges will have to be linked with FOIS at the cost of party so that RR is issued based on actual weighment. These guidelines are equally applicable for weighbridges installed by siding owners in their sidings or on railway land and also for private weighbridges installed at railway goods sheds.

In a meeting held in Board’s office, it has been decided that the process for integration of weighbridges with TMS/FOIS will be completed by 3 1* March, 2017.

Mechanical Dte.(Railway Board) have informed that they have identified five vendors namely (i) M/s. Digital Weighing Systems (P) Ltd., (ii) M/s. Rice Lake Weighing Systems India Ltd., (iii) M/s. Schenck Process India Ltd., (iv) M/s. Essae Digitronics Pvt. Ltd. and (v) M/s.

Avery India Ltd. The interface software development for connecting EIMWBs with FOIS and lab testing of software has already been completed by CRIS for these vendors.

Zonal Railways may take appropriate action for integration of all private weighbridges

with FOIS as per extant guidelines.
