Rates Circular No.2 2. of 2017 भारत सरकार (Government of India) रेल मंत्रालय (Ministry of Railways) रेलवे बोर्ड (Railway Board) ~ No. TC-I/2014/302/2 New Delhi, dt. | 4 .07.2017 General Manager All Zonal Railways Sub: Haulage charges for running of Double Stack Dwarf Containers Ref: Rates Circular No.41 of 2014 1.0 Ministry of Railways has undertaken a successful trial run of Double Stack Dwarf Containers on a route on Indian Railways. 2.0 These Double Stack Dwarf Container(DSDC) shall be charged by applying 17% concession on Haulage Charge for movement of containers in privately owned wagons issued by Board from time to time. Presently the charges as circulated vide Rates Circular No.41 of 2014 are in vogue. 3.0 All ISO Double stack container routes will be opened for transportation after assessing the feasibility of the route as well as after conducting trial runs. All such routes shall be mandatorily notified by Railway Board. New Double Stack Dwarf Container freight structure shall be applicable for all routes other than the ISO Double Stack Container routes. However, as O-D route/routes where ISO Double Stack Containers are already in operation, the new structure shall apply, if such container trains run 100 km beyond (together or at either end) such notified O-D pair route/routes. Illustration: Case (a): On a route A-—B-C-—D suppose double stack ISO container runs from B to C. If double stack dwarf container moves from A to D then distance from A to B and C to D should be minimum 100 km (together or at either end). a In this case suppose ISO Double Stack container route is A -D, then double stack dwarf container route from A to E via C for (taking a diversion from station C) which lies on the route A - D, shall be eligible for discounted freight, only if the distance from C to E is minimum 100 km —momnear | Circular No.2 Y of 2017 4.0 The above instructions shall come into force w.e.f. | i) 0 7:20(4 and shall remain valid upto 31.03.2018. 5.0 This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Dte. and with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
