Chief Commercial Manager All Zonal Railways Sub: Wagon Registration Fee. Ref: (i) Chapter II of Goods Tariff. (ii)Corrigendum No.29 to Rates Master Circular/Demurrage-Wharfage-Waiver/2016/0. (iii) Rates Circular 11 of 2022. Instances have come to the notice of Board that when a customer has cancelled indent for a rake before the prescribed time, partial Wagon Registration Fee was forfeited instead of full forfeiture. The matter has been examined and extant guidelines regarding registration of indent for wagons and collection/forfeiture of Wagon Registration Fee, as stipulated vide Goods Tariff and Board’s Circulars under reference, are reiterated for strict compliance by all concerned. CRIS/FOIS has been advised to built some internal checks so that such problems are timely highlighted and rectified. A customised report may be generated for the user (zonal railway) clearly showing the total number of indents which have been forfeited, the amount of WRF collected against such indents and the amount of money actually forfeited against such indents.
